The Mercedes S-Class is the car I suggest when the journey itself matters: an arrival at a hotel, a business day with several meetings, a dinner in the Eixample or a wedding couple’s first drive. This page explains how I offer it, what it costs and who it suits.
Mercedes S-Class with driver in Barcelona: how it works
The S-Class is booked by the hour only. You choose the hours, the driver stays with you, and the car goes where you go. Hire has a 6-hour minimum per day, with no maximum, and prices are in euros, VAT included.

Compared with the other cars, the S-Class is the top of the fleet. The Mercedes E-Class costs €470 for 6 hours and the V-Class the same, so the S-Class is a deliberate choice for occasions where you want the extra space and formality. The full table is on the prices page.
S-Class chauffeur in Barcelona: who it suits
- Executives and business travellers. Meetings in several parts of the city, with the car waiting between them. For regular business travel, see business chauffeur in Barcelona.
- Couples and special occasions. Anniversaries, proposals or a dinner where you want to arrive and leave without thinking about parking.
- Wedding transport. The bride and groom travel together, and the S-Class takes up to 3 passengers. My wedding chauffeur page explains the rest of the day.
- Visitors who want a first-class day out. A morning in the city and an afternoon on the coast, at your own pace.

First-class chauffeur in Barcelona: how I run the day
Before the day, I ask for the pick-up address, the places you want to visit and the time you want to finish. I then tell you the price for the number of hours that makes sense. If the plan changes on the day, extra hours are charged at the hourly rate. If you finish early, the booking still stands at the hours you agreed, because the 6-hour minimum applies.

What can you do with six hours?
Six hours is enough for more than most people expect. A typical day might cover:
- A morning in the city: the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and a long lunch (Sagrada Família official site).
- A trip to the coast at Sitges with time on the seafront.
- A visit to Montserrat and back.
- An airport day, with time between a morning arrival and an evening meeting.

S-Class, limousine or private driver?
Searches for a limousine or a luxury car often end up at the same place: a polished, comfortable car with a professional driver. The S-Class is a saloon, not a stretch limousine. - Tell me the date, the pick-up address and the number of hours you expect.
- Mention anything else you want to do on the day, such as a stop at the airport or a day trip.
- I reply by e-mail or WhatsApp with the price, VAT included.
- Confirm and the driver is booked for the hours agreed.
Is the S-Class worth the difference?
It is fair to ask. For the same 6 hours, the E-Class is €470 and the S-Class €745; for 8 hours, €630 against €990. Both take up to 3 passengers, so you are not buying more seats. You are choosing the larger, more formal car for an occasion where that matters to you.
My honest view: for an airport run or a normal business day, the E-Class does everything you need at a lower price. I recommend the S-Class when the car is part of the experience, such as a wedding day, an important client visit or a celebration. Practical details for an S-Class booking
- Luggage. The S-Class seats up to 3, but the boot is not the same as a V-Class. With a lot of suitcases, tell me the number so that I can advise whether to choose a different vehicle.
- Pick-up. I confirm the exact address and the time with you before the day. Hotels, apartments and offices are all fine.
- Changes of plan. If you want to extend the day, extra hours are €125 each. If you want to add a second vehicle for other guests, a V-Class takes up to 7.
- Airport. The S-Class is hourly only. For a plain transfer to or from El Prat, the E-Class or V-Class at €80 is the fixed-price option, as explained on the airport transfer page.
