The Mobile World Congress fills Barcelona’s hotels, airport arrivals hall and taxi ranks for several days. If you are attending for work, the practical problem is not the stand but the logistics around it: landing on time, getting to the venue before a meeting, and getting back across the city for dinner. An MWC Barcelona chauffeur removes the guesswork. This page explains how I work during the congress and what it costs.
MWC Barcelona chauffeur: what I do for congress guests
I offer two things, and many guests combine them.
- Airport transfer. A driver collects you at Barcelona-El Prat and takes you to your hotel or direct to the venue.
- A driver at your disposal. The car and driver stay with you for the day. You go from the hotel to Fira, to a client lunch and to an evening event, and the driver waits between.

Getting to Fira Barcelona Gran Via
The congress takes place at Fira Gran Via, near the airport. From Barcelona-El Prat it is 9 km, about 10 min without traffic (route on Google Maps). From Plaça de Catalunya it is 7 km, about 15 min without traffic (route on Google Maps).
Those are free-flow times. During the congress the roads around the venue are busier, especially at the start and end of each day, and I plan extra margin into any pick-up that matters. Prices for MWC guests
All prices are in euros, per vehicle, VAT included.

The S-Class takes up to 3 passengers and is booked by the hour only: €745 for 6 hours and €990 for 8 hours. Each additional hour is €80 in the E-Class and V-Class, €125 in the S-Class, €90 in the Sprinter and €110 in the minibus and coach. Six hours is the minimum per day, with no maximum. The prices page has the full list, and any trip outside the table, such as a day away from Barcelona, is quoted on request.
Which vehicle for the congress
- One or two executives: the Mercedes E-Class, or the S-Class if you want the most formal car for the day.
- A team with demo equipment or luggage: the Mercedes V-Class takes up to 7.
- A delegation: the Sprinter takes up to 16, and a minibus up to 33.
Count the people and the stand material. A V-Class with six passengers and a pallet of brochures is a bad day.
Transport at MWC: chauffeur, metro, taxi or shuttle
The congress is well served by public transport and organised shuttles, and I would not pretend otherwise. The official site and the city publish the options for each edition, with timetables and fares that change, so check them there rather than here. The metro and buses are on the TMB website, and the airport information is on Aena.
A chauffeur is the better answer when your day has fixed times, when you carry material, when you travel with a client, or when you finish late and do not want to queue.
When the congress is on
MWC Barcelona 2027 runs from 1 to 4 March 2027 at Fira Gran Via, organised by GSMA; the dates are published on the official MWC Barcelona site. Hotels and drivers book up around the dates, which is why I suggest sending the request as soon as you know your flights. The service runs 24/7, so an early-morning arrival or a late finish after the last session is not a problem.
Evenings, dinners and the days after
Congress days run into the evening. The driver at your disposal covers the dinner, the client event and the ride back.
