The chauffeur car fleet in Barcelona that I work with is built around one idea: the vehicle should fit the group, not the other way round. A couple arriving at the airport do not need a coach, and a party of fourteen does not want to split between two cars. This page explains each vehicle, what it is best for and what it costs, so you can choose before you send a quote request.
Chauffeur car fleet in Barcelona at a glance
| Vehicle | Passengers | Best for |

| Mercedes V-Class | up to 7 | Families, small groups, luggage |
| Mercedes Sprinter | up to 16 | Mid-size groups, events |
| Minibus | up to 33 | Large groups, teams, wedding guests |
| Coach | up to 60 | Whole-party travel, congress groups |
All prices are in euros, include VAT and are per vehicle. The prices page has the full table.
Mercedes E-Class: the executive saloon
The Mercedes E-Class with a driver is the vehicle I recommend most often for one to three passengers. It is quiet, comfortable on the motorway and easy to take into the narrow streets of the old town. It suits business trips, airport transfers and an evening out.
The Barcelona airport transfer in an E-Class is €80. A driver at your disposal costs €470 for 6 hours and €630 for 8 hours, with each extra hour at €80.
Mercedes S-Class: first-class travel by the hour
The Mercedes S-Class is the top of the fleet and seats up to 3 passengers. It is booked by the hour only, not for fixed transfers, so it is the car for a day with a plan: meetings, a city tour, a dinner or an arrival you want to remember.
For 6 hours it is €745, for 8 hours €990, and each additional hour is €125.
Mercedes V-Class: the people carrier
The Mercedes V-Class takes up to 7 passengers and costs the same as the E-Class on the fixed airport route (€80) and by the hour (€470 for 6 hours). That makes it the smart choice for a family or a group of four to seven with luggage. If you are not sure between the two, the V-Class is the safer pick.
Mercedes Sprinter, minibus and coach
For larger groups, the fleet goes up in steps.
- Sprinter. Up to 16 passengers. The Sprinter costs €200 on the airport route and €610 for 6 hours. See the page on Sprinter van hire with a driver.
- Minibus. Up to 33 passengers, €320 on the airport route and €685 for 6 hours. Details on the minibus hire page.
- Coach. Up to 60 passengers, also €320 on the airport route and €685 for 6 hours. The bus and coach hire page explains how it works.
Prices for the 8-hour option and extra hours are in the table on the prices page. Anything outside the table, such as other cities or several days, is quoted on request.
Luxury transfer, limousine or private driver?
People searching for luxury airport transfers, limo service or private transport in Barcelona are often looking for the same thing: a clean, comfortable car with a professional driver and a price agreed before the trip. The fleet above covers it. If you are looking for a stretch limousine, party limo or Hummer, that is a different product, and I explain the difference on the limousine hire page. For the general service, see private driver in Barcelona.
How to choose the right vehicle
- Count the passengers. Up to 3 means E-Class or S-Class, up to 7 the V-Class, up to 16 the Sprinter, up to 33 the minibus and up to 60 the coach.
- Think about luggage. If you are close to the limit of a vehicle, go one size up.
- Decide whether you need a fixed transfer or time at your disposal. The chauffeur by the hour page covers hourly hire, which has a 6-hour minimum per day and no maximum.
- Use the quote form below, or the contact page, to tell me the date, route and group size.
- I reply by e-mail or WhatsApp with the vehicle and the price.
If you are travelling to or from the airport, the Barcelona airport transfer page has the fixed prices for each vehicle. For the airport itself, the operator is Aena, and for general planning around the city Visit Barcelona is a useful official source.
Who books which vehicle
A few patterns repeat in the enquiries I receive, and they are a useful guide if you are unsure.
- A couple or a solo business traveller usually books the E-Class. The V-Class is only needed when luggage is heavy.
- A family of four or five books the V-Class, because the fixed airport price is the same as for the E-Class and everyone sits comfortably.
- A group of ten colleagues books the Sprinter, which keeps everyone in one vehicle for the airport run and the evening dinner.
- A wedding party or a team books the minibus, and a large congress group or school books the coach.
- Someone who wants an occasion to feel special books the S-Class by the hour.
None of these is a rule. The price is per vehicle, so what matters is how many seats you need and how much luggage you carry.
What the fleet page does not promise
I only describe what is in the price table and the seat counts. Extras such as refreshments or specific interior features are not listed here, so I do not promise them on this page. If you need something particular, mention it in the quote request and I confirm what is possible before you decide. The same applies to journeys that are not in the table, such as other cities, several days or one-way trips outside Barcelona, which I quote on request.
That keeps the page honest, and it keeps the price you see in the table the price you pay. For the full table, see the prices page, and for a plan built around the number of hours you need, the chauffeur by the hour page.
