La Roca Village is the outlet centre north-east of Barcelona, built as an open-air village with many brands in one place. It is 37 km from the city centre, which makes it an easy shopping day. This page explains how a private La Roca Village transfer from Barcelona works, what it costs and how to plan the day.
La Roca Village transfer from Barcelona: how it works
I collect you at your hotel or apartment, drive you to the village and wait while you shop. When you are ready, I bring you and the bags back. You do not have to carry anything onto a bus or negotiate a taxi in the car park.
From Plaça de Catalunya to La Roca Village it is 37 km, about 35 minutes without traffic (route on Google Maps). That is a free-flow time. On a busy weekend or sale day the road is slower, so I plan the pick-up and return with margin.
What a shopping day costs
The simplest way to book is a driver at your disposal. The estimate is 35 minutes each way plus about 4 hours on site, which fits inside the 6-hour daily minimum.
| Vehicle | Passengers | 6 hours (minimum) |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes E-Class | up to 3 | €470 |
| Mercedes V-Class | up to 7 | €470 |
| Mercedes Sprinter | up to 16 | €610 |
| Minibus | up to 33 | €685 |
| Coach | up to 60 | €685 |
These are per-vehicle prices in euros, VAT included. The S-Class is booked by the hour only, at €745 for 6 hours. The 8-hour rate is €630 in the E-Class or V-Class and €785 in the Sprinter, and each additional hour is €80 in the E-Class or V-Class, €90 in the Sprinter and €110 in the minibus or coach. See the prices page for the whole table.
A one-way La Roca Village transfer without waiting is not in my fixed table, so I quote it on request. If you only need a one-way ride, send the details and I reply with the price.
Why go to La Roca Village
La Roca Village is one of the best-known outlet shopping destinations near Barcelona. It is laid out as a village of small streets, with fashion, sportswear, home and accessories shops, plus restaurants and cafés. The official La Roca Village site lists current brands, opening hours and how to get there, and I send you there for details rather than repeat what changes each season.
Guests often ask what to buy and how cheap it is. Prices depend on the brand and the season, so compare with the shop price at home before you commit. The village is also a good place for gifts, since many shops are close together and easy to cover in one afternoon.
Planning the shopping day
A sensible rhythm:
- Morning pick-up after breakfast, so you arrive soon after the village opens and before the crowds build.
- Shopping and lunch on site, with a break for coffee.
- Return in the late afternoon, ahead of the evening peak.
Come with a list of brands and sizes, check the opening days in advance, and bring your passports if you plan to claim tax refunds (check the current rules with the shops). If you want to add a sightseeing stop, such as a Barcelona neighbourhood or a nearby town, tell me and I quote the extra hours.
Choosing the car
The E-Class fits up to 3 passengers and a good number of bags. A family or a group of friends up to 7 should choose the V-Class, which has the most space for shopping. A bigger party, such as a hen party or a corporate day, can use a Sprinter for up to 16. The fleet page lists every vehicle.
Bus, taxi or private driver
There is a shuttle bus to the village, and taxis can make the trip; check the village’s official page for current services. They suit travellers with little shopping. A private driver is the better fit for groups, for guests carrying many bags, and for those who want a pick-up at the hotel door and a set return time.
If you are also planning a wider day out, my private Barcelona day tour page and the day trips from Barcelona hub cover other options. For hourly planning, see chauffeur by the hour.

Practical tips for La Roca Village
- Go early. Arriving soon after opening is easier than the afternoon crowds, especially at weekends and in sale periods.
- Check the village’s calendar. Opening days and special events are listed on the official site, and they can change the plan.
- Bring a list. Sizes and brands you want save time in the shops.
- Plan lunch. The restaurants fill up around midday, so a slightly earlier or later table is easier.
- Tell me about the bags. If you expect a lot of shopping, I match the vehicle to the boot space and keep the bags in the car between visits.
Extending the day
Some guests pair the village with a stop elsewhere, such as a visit to a nearby town or a dinner in Barcelona. The hours simply add up at the hourly rate, and I confirm the total when I know the plan. If you have no wish to shop all day, take a look at the day trips from Barcelona hub, where other half-day ideas are listed.
If you are travelling as a couple or a family and want a calm, planned day, say so in the form. I suggest a timetable that leaves room for lunch and a coffee break, and I stay in contact by WhatsApp so you can call the car to the entrance when you are ready to leave.
