Primavera Sound is one of the large music festivals on the Barcelona calendar, held at Parc del Fòrum on the seafront. Getting there is easy; getting home late at night with a group is the part that deserves a plan. This page explains how I handle Primavera Sound Barcelona transport with a chauffeur, what it costs and how it compares with the other ways of travelling.
Primavera Sound Barcelona transport options
There are several ways to reach the festival, and the right one depends on the size of your group, your luggage and what time you want to leave.
- Metro and bus. Barcelona’s public transport network runs to the Fòrum area. Current lines, stops and any festival-day changes are on the TMB site.
- Train. Renfe regional trains serve the coast north and south of the city. Timetables are on the Renfe site.
- Shuttle. The festival itself publishes any shuttle arrangements, together with a map of the site. I do not run a shuttle service.
- Taxi. Fine for a short ride, but finding a free one when the music ends is the weak point.
- A private driver. The car is yours for the booked hours, so you are not queuing at the end of the night.

Primavera Sound transfer with a driver at your disposal
My festival service is simple. I book a driver for the hours you choose, and the car stays at your disposal. The driver takes you to the venue, waits nearby and takes you back when you are ready, whether that is after the first act or after the last.
Hourly hire is priced per vehicle, in euros, with VAT included. It has a 6-hour minimum per day and no maximum, and extra hours are charged at the hourly rate.

How far is Parc del Fòrum from the centre?
From Plaça de Catalunya to Parc del Fòrum is 6 km, about 10 minutes without traffic (route on Google Maps). That is the free-flow figure. On festival evenings the roads around the seafront are busier, so I plan departures with margin rather than to the minute.
If your hotel is in the Eixample, the Gothic Quarter or near the beach, the drive is short. You can leave later than you would for an airport trip, which is one reason a chauffeur works well for festival days.
Which vehicle for Primavera Sound?
The size of your group decides it.
- Two or three people. The Mercedes E-Class is the sensible choice, with the S-Class if you want a more formal arrival. Both take up to 3 passengers.
- Four to seven. The V-Class seats up to 7 and costs the same as the E-Class by the hour. For a group of five or six friends, I would book it before anything else.
- Eight to sixteen. The Mercedes Sprinter takes up to 16 passengers.
- Larger parties. A minibus takes up to 33 and a coach up to 60, which suits a company or a large group of friends travelling together.
Because prices are per vehicle, a full car is the best value on the page. I still recommend counting luggage and jackets, not only heads.
Primavera Sound dates and tickets
The festival usually takes place in late May or early June. The exact dates, line-up and ticket terms change every year, so check the official Primavera Sound site before you plan. I only book the transport; tickets are bought from the festival.
If you are arriving in Barcelona for the festival, I can combine the days: an airport transfer on arrival, the driver at your disposal on festival day and a transfer back to the airport on departure. How to book Primavera Sound transport
- Open the quote form below and tell me the festival date, the number of passengers and your pick-up address.
- Say whether you want a return after the last act or a fixed finishing time, and how many hours you expect to need.
- I reply by e-mail or WhatsApp with the vehicle and the price in euros, VAT included.
- If you want the car for more than the 6-hour minimum, I add the extra hours at the hourly rate.
- Confirm and I book the driver.
